NSG Section Membership

The NSG Section is a professional organization chartered by the SEG to promote the rigorous practice of the science of shallow-earth geophysics. Please refer to the NSG Section's history and mission to learn more about its origin and goals. Currently, there are 450+ members, making the NSG Section the second largest of the SEG!

SEG membership is required to join the NSG Section (as of October 2008). If you are not already a member of SEG, please also apply for SEG membership.

Membership includes a one-year subscription to Near-Surface Views, the quarterly newsletter of the NSG Section, and pertinent email announcements on happenings in the near-surface geophysics community.

Membership Classes and Annual Dues

Active – interested in the NSG Section and an Active member of the SEG; $15 per year
Affiliate – interested in the NSG Section and an Associate member of the SEG; $15 per year
Student – interested in the NSG Section and a Student member of the SEG; free
